COVID-19

 COVID-19

First of all, we wish to reassure our customers that Saphira Cattery G.P. continues its activities despite the COVID-19.  Indeed, we have had some births in the last weeks and more births are to be expected soon.

However, specific measures have been put in place to ensure the health of everyone (yours, ours, our cats and kittens, as well as our 2 companion dogs), and the safety of our facilities.

Visits

We do not welcome any more visitors in our cattery since March 6, 2020.  The current situation regarding the world pandemic with COVID-19 is holding us back and we prefer not to receive any visitors at the moment.  When the situation will be completely restored, we will be available for a visit of our cattery.

It is however possible to see pictures of our facilities (of the Cattery) on our website, by following the following link: https://www.elevagesaphira.com/pages/la-chatterie.html

Also, there will not be any visit of our Cattery in order to carry out any allergy test.

Reservations

We always take reservation requests for our kittens.  A reservation deposit (400$ non-refundable) is required to make an official reservation, either for a kitten already born, or on one of our unborn litters.  The reservation deposit must be paid by e-Transfer;  we no longer accept cheques or cash, due to COVID-19.  In return, we will send you by email our Reservation Agreement, which you must sign and return to us by email or Messenger/Facebook as the case may be (scan or photo).

Choosing your kitten

In our Cattery, the choice of kittens is made around the age of 12-13 Weeks, since at this age the kittens have already been seen and vaccinated a first time by an officially recognized Veterinarian, and we have also been able to evaluate their personality, which is very important to us.  As long as the situation with COVID-19 continues, the choice of kittens will be made by photos and/or video, as well as by means of a discussion by telephone or video messenger, in the form of an Appointment.  The goal of this discussion is to describe the temperament and personality of the available kittens, to answer your questions but also to dedicate quality time to you as we would do during a visit to our Cattery.

Departure of the Kittens from Saphira Cattery

Kittens always leave by Appointment, and the situation remains the same in this particular period.

We ask that the final amount to be paid (balance of payment) be sent by e-Transfer at least 1 hour before the arrival at our Cattery.  Please note that e-Transfers that are sent tio us are cashed directly, as we are registered for direct deposits for e-Transfers.  This also saves you from having to enter a security question.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, depending on your financial institution with which you do business.

** During the summer season (from the beginning of May to the end of October), the departure of the kitten is done ''outside'', and we take care to respect the distance of 2 meters required by the Public Health of Quebec.  Wearing a mask is required.

When you arrive, you are invited to stay in your car, in order to sign the 2 copies of the Sales Agreement that we give you.

During this time, we recover your transport cage and make sure it is sanitized for the safety of all (ours and yours as well).

Once the 2 copies of the Agreement have been duly signed, the kitten is given back to you with its departure bag, as well as a copy of the Sales Agreement and the sales invoice.  The Veterinary Health Record is presented and explained to you.  Also, we give you some last advice regarding the departure of your kitten and its arrival in your home, and we answer your questions.

** During the winter season (from the beginning of November to the end of April), the kitten's departure is done ''in our garage'', and the door remains open during this time.  The goal is that we are sheltered from bad weather, wind and a little bit of cold as well.  This also allows us to ensure a good air circulation and to respect the distance of 2 meters required by the Public Health of Quebec.  Wearing a mask is required.

Upon your arrival, you are invited to enter our garage, in order to sign the 2 copies of the Sales Agreement that we give you.

During this time, we recover your carrier and make sure it is sanitized for the safety of all (ours and yours as well).

It is possible that the measures mentioned above may be revised, as we adjust ourselves according to the evolution of the situation and the measures imposed by government authorities.

Thank you for your understanding and be well and safe!  :)
